Symphony Sales Operations Manager in Belgrade, Serbia

Our community in Belgrade is on the lookout for a great Sales Operations Manager.

Symphony is a technology house headquartered in San Francisco with hubs in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Skopje, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Our clients include two of the “Big Four” tech companies, innovative startups from the Bay Area, and leading enterprises from diverse industries. We are working with alumni from Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Google, Netflix, and other bright minds.

Symphony is a partner and preferred vendor of Google Ventures, StartX, and Y Combinator. We like to tackle challenging projects in fields such as biotech, machine learning, IoT, wearables, and augmented reality.

You will:

  • Define the sales process including funnel steps, the role of channel partners, BD, inbound vs. outbound sales

  • Develop and implement a framework for project prioritization for resourcing including lead qualification and scoring

  • Manage and maintain sales process adherence with Sales Representatives

  • Identify and make recommendations to eliminate sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies

Set up CRM system and other sales tools

  • Set-up key sales systems (CRM and others) and dashboards within these

  • Research and manage integrations between CRM and other Sales and Marketing tools

  • Train sales team to utilize systems

  • Maintain procurement and contract records

Track, develop and share sales performance Insights

  • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and deliver regular insights to the business (weekly, monthly reports)

  • Run bi-weekly sales meetings to share best practices between sales reps and identify individual areas for improvement

  • Key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, quota attainment, upsells, renewals, post-sale customer metrics

Develop sales strategy, goals and commission plan

  • Develop and maintain sales forecasting model

  • Provide recommendation to sales leadership for monthly and quarterly objectives for the sales team

  • Develop consistent quota and payment plan for each team member

    Develop and ‘best practice' documents

  • Develop client pricing strategy

  • Develop standard contract templates

  • Develop upgraded proposal templates

Lead, develop and hire a team

  • Lead and hire mid-funnel sales representatives (i.e. SDR, sales conversion & sales enablement teams)

  • Define the need to hire additional salespeople along the entire sales funnel

  • Develop materials and process to onboard, train and mentor new sales rep

Cross-collaboration with other departments

  • Delivery - align on resourcing and staffing decisions and priorities

  • Clear decision framework and accountabilities

  • Input on 3 months+ hiring plans

  • Marketing - create a tight feedback loop between Marketing and Sales

  • Provide guidance on the type and form of needed/relevant marketing materials and their prioritization

  • Summarize delivery highlights for Marketing to craft relevant messaging

Key requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or related areas of study - not mandatory

  • Successful/proven track record in operations in digital business. Minimum 10 years of proven experience in our line of business or been successful in the world of digital

  • Preferably experience in sales with fast-growing, international IT-outsourcing company, a digital agency, software development company or IT Infrastructure company or similar

  • Experience in leading and developing teams, and developing people in general

  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business

  • Fluent English
