The Bellefonte Area School District is currently seeking a Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Applicants must possess strong leadership and communication skills and must be eager to work collaboratively with all stakeholders. The Director of Curriculum and Instruction shall assist the Superintendent in providing leadership, vision and strategic direction for curriculum, instruction, assessment, school improvement initiatives, professional learning for all staff and new teacher induction. In addition, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction will act as the Federal Programs Coordinator and work collaboratively in other grant writing opportunities. The ultimate goal of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction shall be developing, achieving, and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services for the District while working with all stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

Minimum - Masters Degree in Education, Principals Certification; at least 5 years of exemplary teaching experience, demonstrate proficiency in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programming and curriculum development; successful experience in a teacher leadership role and/or as a building level administrator

Preferred - Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; previous experience as a Central Office Administrator.
