Insight Global Data Center Architect in Bellevue, Washington

Job Description

As the Data Center Architect, you will be focused on supporting the development of the design and engineering requirements and standards that are the basis of our global data center program. You will be responsible for managing our global standards documentation program that enables our regional teams to bring our capacity to market safely, quickly, and with high quality.

Responsibilities

* Manage the development and implementation of our design & engineering strategies and standards that are the basis of our global program.

* Design Manage cross-functional consultant teams comprising architects, engineers, and other relevant experts. Define project scopes, deliverables, and performance expectations for consultants, ensuring timely and high-quality project execution.

* Develop and lead the global consultant and vendor relationships that support our program and projects. In collaboration with regional teams, review and approve the recommendations for the consultant and vendor selections for our projects. Cultivate strong relationships with consultants and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions and services.

* Provide leadership and direction to regional teams in support of tailoring and implementing ("localizing") global design strategies and standards to meet specific project requirements. Maintain clear and effective communication channels to ensure alignment on program and project objectives and deliverables ensuring seamless integration of global design principles with local execution.

* Support the evaluation and responses to customer requests for proposals. Support the provision of technical responses and documentation. In collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, interface with customers directly to understand requirements, look at options and develop solutions.

* Design Manage the development of our strategic design roadmap. In collaboration with Design, Construction, Operations and ESG leaders, contribute your expertise to and design manage initiatives that improve the efficiency and sustainability of our data center design program.

* Develop and manage the budgets and invoicing for consultant services that support the global program. Develop annual budgets and periodic updates that support the program.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering.

* Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in significant design management of data center projects or similar technically complex projects.

* Proven program & project management experience with the ability to lead global program teams and support regional project teams on multiple projects simultaneously.

* In-depth knowledge of data center design principles, industry standards, and best practices.

* Proficiency in relevant design software and tools. * Master degree in Architecture or Engineering.

* Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale customer requirements to support AI/ML environments.

* Experience with prefabrication/modular construction and manufacturing techniques. null
