Meta Privacy & Platform Policy Manager in Bellevue, Washington

Summary:

Meta is looking for an experienced professional to work on our Developer Platform Policy & Enforcement team. The team's mission is to ensure that third parties protect the data that people entrust to Meta, and to enable developers and businesses to operate in a trustworthy and responsible app developer ecosystem. In this role, you'll help the company promote privacy in the context of our partnerships with third-party app developers. In particular, this role will focus on our developer compliance monitoring programs and supporting our business planning and reporting needs.As a Privacy & Platform Policy Manager, you'll serve as a subject matter expert for Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies. You’ll work closely with Meta’s product, engineering, operations, legal, privacy and other cross-functional organization partners across the company to answer any questions they may have with respect to our terms and policies. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, a good team player, and creative problem solver that is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. This candidate will be deeply familiar with policy counseling and have a meaningful understanding of privacy and Internet technologies. The candidate will be passionate about the services Meta provides and the people that we serve.

Required Skills:

Privacy & Platform Policy Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Provide oversight on compliance monitoring programs, identifying improvements, proposing and influencing positive change in these areas, and maintaining applicable documentation for the compliance program.

  2. Independently manage and perform compliance reviews and audits of Privacy & Platform Policy business processes and support compliance reviews of third-party developers.

  3. Conduct process walkthroughs with external regulators / auditors and provide requisite populations of data, sample documentation, and other necessary information.

  4. Advise and build consensus on risk mitigation strategies for compliance processes, new products or technologies.

  5. Manage team business planning and reporting obligations.

  6. Evaluate and provide guidance to the many teams across the company responsible for investigating and enforcing our Platform Terms and Developer Policies, with particular focus on Meta’s terms and policies governing third party data collection and use.

  7. Work with developers, designers, lawyers, product managers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams simultaneously address policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, marketing and other privacy and product requirements in the context of investigations and enforcement.

  8. Educate external stakeholders on Meta’s third party terms and policies and compliance processes, enabling them to operate on Platform in alignment with these policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years of experience with counseling clients around product development or privacy, data security, or technology policy issues

  2. 3 + years experience in the implementation and maintainance of controls related to privacy and third party data sharing

  3. 3+ years of experience participating in internal and external audits, including: - Coordinating audit activities with internal stakeholders. - Responding to auditor inquiries and providing evidence. - Identifying areas for improvement and implementing remediation plans. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address audit findings.

Public Compensation:

$158,000/year to $228,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
