Position: ERP Techno-Functional Analyst

About Role:

We are seeking an experienced ERP Techno-Functional Consultant to lead key data conversion initiatives, transitioning data from Legacy ERP (DB2) to New custom build ERP (MS SQL Server). This role is crucial for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business and technical requirements as part of a large-scale ERP migration. The ideal candidate will be a proactive technical analyst with in-depth knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to communicate effectively with both Technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Expert in Data Conversion Projects: Demonstrated experience in leading data conversion initiatives, particularly from DB2 to MS SQL Server. Extensive experience in ERP systems analysis, ERP Conversion & Migration process.

  • SQL Server Expertise: strong proficiency in writing SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data analysis scripts to validate pre- and post-load data.

  • Technical Documentation & Data Flow Diagrams: Ability to create detailed technical documentation, including comprehensive data flow diagrams. Good to have a person who has previously worked on some ERP Master data conversion projects.

  • T-SQL Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot data reconciliation issues using T-SQL.

  • Python Automation: Experience in writing and maintaining Python scripts to automate data conversions and reconciliation processes.

  • ERP Knowledge: In-depth understanding of key ERP modules (AR, AP, O2C, P2P, GL) and how they interact in a business process flow, including lifecycle management of customers, suppliers, and inventory items. Experience with a minimum three implementations of large-scale tier 1 ERP systems.

  • Code Reviews & Unit Testing: Conduct code reviews to ensure the technical solutions are fully aligned with business requirements. Perform unit testing to validate that the requirements and data mappings have been thoroughly met, ensuring quality in every phase of the conversion process.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical designs to business stakeholders and ensure smooth collaboration with architects, BAs, and other team members. This role requires a combination of analytical, technical, planning and communication skills.

  • Business Impact: Play a pivotal role in driving successful ERP migrations that directly enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy, ensuring a seamless transition that minimizes downtime and business disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • ERP Techno -Functional analyst is responsible for solving information technology-related problems and working with clients to solve business problems using business knowledge, consulting skills, and packaged solution expertise.

  • Elicits and documents data requirements and specifications from functional users, system owners and subject matter experts

  • Translates data requirements into a best fit within the application, and develops processes and documentation that support data

  • Perform data analysis, mapping, and transformation rules to convert and interface data

  • Develops and maintains standard systems requirement documents including but not limited to interface design documents, run books, run books, test plans, test scripts, business process workflows, data requirements documents, and use cases.

  • As a Technical Analyst, you will be a versatile resource who has a passion for technology, strong communications and enjoys solving business problems.

  • Lead design review sessions with architects and business teams, ensuring data conversions align with business requirements and technical specifications.

  • Develop and execute complex SQL Server queries and procedures for validating data before and after conversions, ensuring accuracy and integrity.

  • Create detailed data analysis scripts to verify that the data has been successfully converted, identifying, and resolving any discrepancies.

  • Lead discussions on the functional and technical design of ERP entities such as customers, suppliers, inventory items, and transactions (e.g., open AR, open SO, open PO, etc.).

  • Good knowledge in Oracle ERP finance modules like AP, AR & GL. Should have knowledge on the basic concept and process flow for each finance module.

  • Experience conducting gap analysis between ERP system delivered functionality, client requirements and recommend solutions.

  • Experience serving as a liaison between Business and IT Preferred

  • Works closely with business owners to identify / understand business needs and translates these into effective solutions.

  • Responsible for the end to end solution design and technical implementation within the scope of a business applications projects.

  • Knowledge of Financials, Procurement, and budgeting & planning areas of ERP systems

  • Work on the production issues, defects and fix them on time.

  • Provide expertise on ERP modules such as AR, AP, O2C, P2P, and GL, helping BAs and

business teams understand the technical and functional aspects of these modules during conversion.
