To ensure compliance with President Biden’s September 9, 2021 executive order, Boeing is implementing a new requirement for U.S.-based employees to either show proof of being fully vaccinated from COVID-19, or have an approved reasonable accommodation (based on a disability/medical condition or sincerely held religious belief) exempting them from the requirement, by December 8, 2021 (timing may vary in some states). Boeing IT & DA is currently looking for Enterprise IT operations to join their team in Bangalore India. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Enterprise IT Disaster and Continuity for various applications and infrastructure.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Talent Manager and IT Disaster and Continuity Product Manager. Lead enterprise-wide Boeing business units in the development of their IT Service Continuity planning (including Recovery Planning). Conduct training on development of plans, use of Boeing’s Living Recovery Planning System (LDRPS), as well as provide expert consultation in all IT Service Continuity planning, testing and validation.
Lead and coordinate planning, testing and validation with Boeing business units worldwide.This includes, but is not limited to:
Defining Project Scope, Objectives and Quality Standards
Analyze Requirements and Define Service Continuity Strategy
Perform Risk Assessment
Identify Risk Reduction Measures
Identify Recovery Solutions
Develop Implementation Plans
Develop and TestRecovery Plans and Procedures
Act as primary consultant for Recovery planning and validation for Boeing organizations worldwide.This includes but is not limited to:
Application Recovery Planning
Storage and Backup Recovery Planning
Distributed server Recovery Planning
Network Recovery Planning
Voice System Recovery Planning
Computing Security Recovery Planning
Infrastructure Recovery Planning
IT Service Recovery Planning
Conduct enterprise-wide Boeing business unit site assessments to determine their IT Preparedness status.
Provide reports to site management on the state of IT Preparedness at their site.
Facilitate and coach plan owners in testing their plans, review the results and lessons learned and suggest changes to continuously improve the IT Preparedness at each site.
Build, test and maintain templates for all types of plans and for gathering plan data.
Develop and conduct detailed Recovery Planning and Boeing’s Living Disaster Recovery Planning System (LDRPS) training seminars and workshops for enterprise-wide Boeing organizations.
Develop, test and maintain all ITP internal planning and validation processes, procedures and tools.
Create and maintain Recovery plan metrics for audit visibility.
Provide consultation to enterprise-wide Boeing organizations and business units for developing maintenance plans for keeping Recovery plans current.
Notify plan owners of required modifications or updates driven by dependencies from other business units’ Recovery plans. Provide leadership and support to enterprise-wide IT Preparedness and Data Center readiness assessments and reviews.
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
Analyzes hiring results, metrics and trends to influence team strategy and performance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in a dedicated IT Service Continuity
1+ year of experience in a leadership role within IT disaster and continuity
Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
