Job Description Summary

Execution of Sourcing & Supplier Quality (SQD) process improvement projects and Sourcing & SQD initiatives with broad scope and clear focus to the program. Support major and complex assignments with long term program implication. Leverage practical and innovative ways to identify and meet the process simplification and analytic goals. You will be responsible for the critical reporting & data integration platforms and applications. You will be part of a team developing solutions to support the needs of GE HealthCare to address statistical, system and data analytical challenges. In this role, you will apply modern and statistical methods for finding structure and value in both large and small data sets. You will lead resolution of data / process challenges working closely with the various business partners & support teams, deliver on enhancement requests, and manage specific projects within Service Delivery around Infrastructure & Software upgrades. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term program goals. Serves as lean methodology and simplification expert for assigned area or team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support / Collaborate with cross-functional team empowered to execute the Lean Six Sigma strategy for process improvement .

  • Through completion of a training program on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory and application tools/tactics, deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability, and Sourcing processes to reduce defects and attain world-class levels of quality and cycle time reduction.

  • Facilitate team members in the use of Lean / Automation tools.

  • Work with Op Ex leaders and teams to uncover and assess lean opportunities / execute for GE HealthCare and its Projects.

  • Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance and developing improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met.

  • Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure services meet the needs of the business.

  • Help drive strategy and streamline processes through integration, adoption and simplification of analytic solutions.

  • Collaborate with IT Program managers, client leaders, users and the Executive Development Leaders to drive simplification and application of service level agreements (SLAs)

  • Identify opportunities and complete projects to improve internal processes, application availability and performance; drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction and provide appropriate metrics.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with functional leaders, peers and vendors to seamlessly support overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization.

  • Stay current with enabling technologies to improve application availability, maintainability, and scalability.

  • Ensure data integrity goals are met for supplier quality within targeted applications.

  • Work with technical teams in application and deployment of data mining methods

  • Advises on application and supporting technology purchases and on future projects or environment upgrades/modifications

  • Continue development of expertise to become SPOC on direct sourcing reporting and environment setups/maintenance.

  • Create & provide basic user training sessions. Hold monthly or another periodic schedule based on user needs.

  • Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices.

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.

  • Facilitate / Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to drive simplification in a section or end-to-end process & drive continuous improvement, reduce cycle time ensuring productivity. This includes Change Acceleration Process (CAP) methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives.

  • Serve as a recognized expert for a process focus area

  • Communicate teams’ progress to program Leaders, Business Leaders.

  • Educate team on Lean philosophy and application.

  • Propose process technology improvements and capital expenditures.

  • Identify potential process improvement projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or related technical discipline or equivalent

  • 9+ years of work experience with technical depth/knowledge in Sourcing / Sourcing Processes

  • Green Belt / Black Belt certification

  • Minimum of 3+ years relevant work experience in data warehousing, BI technologies preferably in IT Process / Solutions

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems, risk assessments and CAPA remediation requirements in med tech industry

  • Experience with one or more complex ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc.)

  • Experience with Oracle Analytics Service, Spotfire, Power BI

  • 3 or 4 years of project execution experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology and/ or in Supplier quality

  • 2 or more years of experience in IT Services / BPO Program environment

  • Proven experience in influencing, leading teams and driving change results orientation.

  • Effective team player and contributor with solid communication skills in interfacing with both team members and management

  • Able to simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicate priorities clearly and concisely.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, Cyber Security guidelines and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

  • Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.

  • Develop and maintaining of fully qualified and compliant supply base.

  • Experience using Minitab for Six Sigma projects.
