Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on organizational strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive strategy for the organization, aligning with business objectives and customer needs. Drive initiatives to enhance product development processes, technology adoption, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Build and lead a world-class product development team: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of software engineers focused on delivering complex products and technology projects. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Leadership in digital transformation: Drive digital transformation initiatives to migrate and deploy enterprise solutions to cloud-native architectures. Create an ecosystem for third-party integrations to enhance product functionality and interoperability.

  • Leadership communication: Actively engage with GE executive sponsors and customers, providing regular updates on team progress, project milestones, and strategic direction. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder alignment and project management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Drive data and process changes required for project success, while managing risks and dependencies.

  • Day-to-day team management: Provide guidance and direction to team members engaged in projects and delivery. Facilitate agile ceremonies, coach engineering teams on requirements estimation and work sizing, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Technical expertise and domain knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in developing and deploying hardware and software products across various platforms, including Cloud and Microservices architecture. Leverage strong medical device domain knowledge to lead the Diagnostic Cardiology portfolio of products.

  • Global team management and collaboration: Effectively manage global teams and stakeholders, including GMs, CTOs, Program Directors, Product Managers, Manufacturing, and Sourcing leaders. Create a collaborative working environment that drives success and innovation.

  • Agile transformation and DevOps: Specialize in managing engineering teams within a Scaled Agile Framework environment, emphasizing Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment in a highly integrated and automated DevOps environment. Drive a continuous learning culture and guide continuous improvements.

  • Innovation and process improvement: Evangelize the notion that anything worth doing takes repeated effort and failure. Innovate and integrate new processes and technologies to significantly add value to GE. Proactively identify solutions to address challenges and drive organizational success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with minimum of 18+ years of experience in product engineering, digital transformation, software engineering, program management, and product development, preferably in the medical device industry.

Desired Characteristics

  • Excellent technical background in SaaS, Embedded Systems Software Architecture, Design, and Development.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working in a global environment and managing diverse teams.

  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) is preferred.

  • Passion for healthcare technology and driving innovation to improve patient care.
