Oracle Senior Member of Technical Staff in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Developers on this team will be working on several different Java UI Toolkit technologies including JavaFX, Swing/Java2D and native web libraries such as Chromium, WebKit or Blink. The scope of the work done by this team includes developing support for new platforms and hardware. This further includes implementation of new features as necessary and addressing issues around performance, specification compliance and updating the implementation to address security considerations.

Mandatory requirements

  • Expert level C++/C coding skills

  • Familiarity with the internals of WebKit/Chromium/Blink/Gecko

  • Experience on multiple operating systems platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)

  • Knowledge of design patterns and coding best practices

  • An intimate understanding of Multi-threading is required

  • Strong understanding of software development processes, life cycles and best practices.

  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial software development experience in C++/C and at least four years overall software development experience

  • Solid written and verbal English language skills

  • Ability to mentor less experienced engineers

Nice To Have

  • Experience working on open-source projects, and OpenJDK contributors

  • Experience in 2D/3D graphics – OpenGL, DirectX etc.

  • Working knowledge of JAVA UI toolkit packages like JavaFX, Swing, Java2D and AWT is added advantage
