Job Description
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and identify improvements to the architecture.
Display understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Perform complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5+ years of software engineering or related experience.

The Fusion Applications Cloud Services team is building a next generation cloud platform that supports the most demanding mission-critical customer requirements, operating at global scale to provide a secure, distributed, multi-tenant cloud environments for Fusion and other Oracle applications. We are making the existing Oracle's SaaS portfolios, including the multi-billion dollar revenue producing Fusion applications, become first class Oracle cloud citizens. To support the vision we are building a platform that manages end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to terminate; and provides a self-service cloud experience to the customer for our SaaS product by demonstrating the underlying OCI platform and services.
This is your opportunity to be a core part of the team that defines and delivers exciting new capabilities for Oracle’s flagship Fusion Applications Cloud Services space. We are seeking a candidate with strong software development experience in platform level products or services.
As a Software Developer on the Fusion Apps Datastream team you will be responsible building innovative automated solutions and tools for cloud native service that ingests data from the fleet and delivers insights through various downstream applications. Ensure that only validated code is deployed in production and prevent issues from recurring. Further, you will proactively seek out system weaknesses and find ways to fix them before they cause production issues using monitoring data, watching trends, metrics and events demonstrating a plethora of internal tooling at OCI.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will play the pivotal role of developing software programs, algorithms, and automated processes for the release management function that is responsible for delivering validated code to production. You’ll work with our customers, engineering and internal stakeholders to gain operational insight across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. Other responsibilities include:
Increasing ops efficiency by reducing noise and enriching data
Increase uptime of system by predicting failure and taking proactive action
Release Engineering, Performance Analytics and Capacity Forecasting
Work closely with the SaaS and Platform teams and be their internal and external champion
Define, implement, and analyze success metrics
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Experience as Java Developer (5+ yrs of experience)
Proficiency in JAVA and asscociated micronaut / springboot framework
Experience in Terraform, Devops methodologies for development and deployment
Good understanding of Cloud Native technologies
Unique talent to influence and analyze complex product technical solutions
Attention to detail & proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities, simultaneously
Prior exposure to Kafka, Streams and datastreaming platforms will be considered as a plus.
