Intel SOC PTP Engineer in Bengaluru, India

Job Description

Opening for a talented power and performance engineer for Intel products; as a PnP Engineer, you will be responsible for the product (SOC) characterization, power and performance optimization in addition to the responsibility for identifying opportunities, drive optimization and improvements through analysis of workloads and silicon behavior. In this position you will have exposure to senior management and huge impact on Intel next generation products.

The job requirements include but not limited to:

  • System level understanding of power management flows at the hardware, firmware, and driver level

  • In-depth level understanding of hardware power management such as P-states and C-states

  • Perform Usecase/Workload/KPI analysis and characterization and identify power and performance bottlenecks/optimization areas

  • Analysis of silicon power consumption versus pre-silicon expectations and drive resolution of issues towards higher battery life

  • Responsibility for SoC-level optimization under various usage scenarios

  • Close interface with architecture, design, and platform engineers

  • Contribute towards power management optimizations flows for future products

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: ?BE/ME with 8+ years of industry experience ?hands on with pre or post silicon platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive domain experience

  • Power/Performance issues debug hands on. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
