Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Health Data Intelligence Platform. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. Oracle Health Data, Analytics Platform has a rare opportunity to play a critical role in how Oracle Health products impact and disrupt the healthcare industry by transforming how healthcare and technology intersect.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering

  • 6+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of experience in developing Micro Services using Ruby-on-Rails, building Frontend Applications using React JS, AWS, OCI cloud-native distributed systems.

  • Experience in visualization tools like Tableau, Business Objects

  • Proficient at high-level programming languages, preferably Ruby as must and Java, Scala as preferred ones.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.

  • Ability to deliver products from the ground up going through a complete product life cycle.

  • Experienced with API and service-to-service communication protocols along with developing highly reliable services.

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional and co-located team environment.

  • Experience with production operations and standard methodologies for putting quality code in production, and solving issues when they arise

  • Able to communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)

  • Experience working with AWS, OCI Infrastructure systems and tools.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a team of engineers in defining, designing, and delivering big data processing applications using latest technologies on OCI. You should be able to understand broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the Health Data Intelligence platform and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Currently, we are embarking on multiple initiatives such as moving from AWS to OCI cloud, re architecting existing visualization through Tableau / Business Objects onto OCI OAC services. You will work on projects that lift and shift functionality from AWS to OCI, customer data migrations that follow later.

Our senior engineers are also the people who can work independently and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. You should have experience developing and maintaining high-scale front-end and back-end services in a standard SOA. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You recommend and justify major changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.

Your primary responsibility will include :

  • Build and maintain Ruby-based services that can on multi-cloud (AWS and OCI), multi technical stack (RoR, React JS) and connect with Database services (MySQL, Oracle ATP).

  • Manage CI-CD pipelines, deployments on multi-zone and multi-countries.

  • Solve issues observed through internal monitoring or reported by customers and work on both corrective and preventive solutions.
