Midwest Goods Inc. Ecommerce Product Specialist in Bensenville, Illinois

Location : Bensenville, IL

Schedule : Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Status : Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

Compensation : Starting at $22 an hour

$300 Sign-on Bonus After Completion of the 90-day Probationary Period

The Ecommerce Product Specialist is responsible for the accurate listings of current products on the company website. He/she will collaborate with various departments to ensure that all products listed on the website are available and all available products are adequately presented and marketed on the company website. Works collaboratively with the Purchasing Team to ensure accurate and current product listings such as pricing, as well as explore new products for the Company.

Essential Functions

  • Work on existing product listings and launch new product listings on the various e-commerce platforms of the company by collaborating and effectively communicating with departments such as Purchasing, Marketing, Receiving, Compliance Department etc.

  • Research new products information including brands and features as well as photos, to create content for product pages.

  • Manages product information on ecommerce platforms; develops enhanced product pages.

  • Translates business requirements into appropriate product data structure.

  • Collaborates with business resources or product manufacturers to obtain and format product information, content, and media.

  • Resizes, formats, and processes product images.

  • Maintains products catalog in warehouse management system.

  • Updates product images and information through the life cycle of the product

  • Educates other team members on new product information and new process information.

  • Maintains up-to-date awareness and knowledge of company products, industry trends and government regulations including Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Vaping regulations.

  • Follow all companies and department established policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Product Development Manager

  • Excellent attention to written and oral communication skills

  • Photo Knowledge is a plus.

  • Technical Capacity

  • Excellent attention to detail and tome management skills

    Required Education and Experience

    A minimum of HS Diploma or GED and one year of customer service or e-commerce experience, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must have intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Photoshop, and knowledge of Google ‐ based programs such as google sheets/Docs. Basic Photography experience is required. Basic knowledge of infringement.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
