What you'll do...

About the Role:

As the Director of Operations for Walmart's Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), you will ensure the seamless operation of the GSOC's physical space, overseeing all aspects of the facility's 24/7 functionality. You will be responsible for managing IT hardware, software, and data stewardship, ensuring that critical systems are secure, operational, and compliant with regulatory standards. Additionally, you will manage logistics, supply chain coordination, and the physical infrastructure to support uninterrupted global security operations. Your role also involves writing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), coordinating external tours and events, and overseeing key project initiatives to continuously improve GSOC operations. This role ensures the GSOC's operational readiness, enabling the security team to safeguard the organization effectively.

What you'll bring:

  • Operational Expertise: Proven ability to manage mission-critical facilities, ensuring continuous, round-the-clock functionality in a fast-paced, high-security environment.

  • Technical and Data Proficiency: Strong background in managing IT systems, including hardware, software, and data stewardship, ensuring secure and compliant handling of sensitive information.

  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing complex project initiatives that drive operational enhancements, from conception through execution, to elevate GSOC capabilities.

  • Logistics and Resource Management: Expertise in overseeing logistics, supply chain management, and vendor relationships to support uninterrupted operational needs.

  • Process Optimization: A track record of developing and maintaining SOPs, driving efficiencies, and ensuring processes are scalable and compliant with regulatory requirements.

  • Event Coordination: Excellent skills in managing tours, external visits, and events to showcase the GSOC's capabilities to stakeholders and visitors.

What you'll do:

  • Manage GSOC Operations: Oversee all physical and technical aspects of the GSOC, ensuring that hardware, software, and data systems are continuously operational and secure.

  • Ensure Data Stewardship: Administer and safeguard data systems, ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data management practices in line with internal policies and regulations.

  • Oversee IT Infrastructure: Work closely with IT teams to manage and maintain GSOC hardware and software, ensuring operational continuity and technical resilience.

  • Drive Project Initiatives: Lead and oversee project initiatives aimed at enhancing GSOC operations, including system upgrades, process improvements, and the introduction of new technologies.

  • Logistics and Resource Management: Ensure the availability of essential supplies, manage relationships with vendors, and coordinate logistics to support 24/7 operations.

  • Develop and Maintain SOPs: Write and regularly update standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring that operational processes remain efficient, effective, and scalable.

  • Coordinate Tours and Events: Organize and manage external tours, senior leadership visits, and key events, effectively showcasing GSOC operations to internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Operational Leadership: Extensive experience in managing operations within a mission-critical or high-security environment, with proven success in maintaining 24/7 functionality.

  • IT and Data Management Expertise: Strong technical background in administering IT systems and managing data, with a focus on compliance, security, and operational integrity.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated success in leading complex project initiatives that drive operational improvements, including cross-functional collaboration and execution.

  • Process Optimization Experience: Expertise in process development and SOP creation, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Relevant Academic Credentials: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Management, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field.

  • Foreign Language Skills: Proficiency in key foreign languages relevant to Walmart, such as Chinese (Mandarin), French, Spanish, etc.

  • Security Operations Experience: Experience working in a high-risk security environment is a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Risk Management, or related field and 5 years' experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area OR 7 years' experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area. 1 year's supervisory experience.
