Wells Enterprises Team Lead - Walmart Customer Brands in Bentonville, Arkansas

Wells Enterprises has an exciting opportunity to lead our Walmart Brands sales desk. The Team Lead Walmart Brands heads all sales for customer branded products on the Walmart account, along with managing our Walmart International Business. They will be responsible for achieving volume, sales and profitability objectives in support of short and long-term strategic growth plans for Wells and Walmart. The Team Lead provides leadership, direction and coaching to team members to achieve sales and profitability results, effectively leverages cross functional team members, and further develops skillsets and capabilities. As the Walmart Brands Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, growth, and performance of customer brands within the Walmart account. This position requires strategic acumen, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of Walmart's retail environment, consumer preferences, and market trends.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Short-and-Long Term Volume Alignment:

  2. Leads joint planning meetings for short- and long-term volume alignment, including key cross functional teams such as replenishment/supply chain with customer and internal partners. Leads innovation planning meetings with Director, Sourcing, and Product Development in advance of Walmart planning timing, in addition to maintaining regular cadence of meetings with the Walmart Director, Sourcing, and Product Development to manage daily business.

  3. Responsible for forecast accuracy, including weekly review with Demand Planning on forecast and trends. Identifies, develops, and implements opportunities within communicated constraints to close gaps and drive incremental growth consistently throughout planning cycle.

  4. Financial Management for Walmart Brands:

  5. Responsible for delivering sales and financial objectives. Delivers results through successful negotiation, long-term strategic planning, and relationship development with Walmart.

  6. Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to maximize results for Walmart brands.

  7. Develop and manage budgets specifically allocated for Walmart brand initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.

  8. Walmart Brands Strategy:

  9. Develop and execute an insights-based short- and long-term strategy for sustainable profitable growth for Walmart brands, aligning with Walmart and Wells objectives and consumer category trends.

  10. Develop and implement tactics for Walmart brands aligning with Walmart, Wells, and consumer priorities to achieve objectives and drive profitable growth.

  11. Walmart Brand Management:

  12. Lead the end-to-end management of Walmart brands, ensuring alignment with Walmart's branding guidelines and requirements.

  13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop packaging designs, marketing materials, and merchandising strategies that resonate with Walmart shoppers and drive sales.

  14. Portfolio Optimization

  15. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive insights to identify opportunities for growth and optimization within Walmart Brands portfolio.

  16. Identify opportunities to optimize product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability at Walmart.

  17. Prepares and leads monthly business review and other internal meetings as requested, providing content and pre-reads in advance of meeting for internal review to drive more efficient conversation and decision-making.

  18. Team Leadership

  19. Leads one direct report: Sr. Analyst Private Brand Sales. Leverages cross-functional leadership and successfully influences without direct authority within a matrixed organization to drive required results for Wells and customer across shared resource teams.

  20. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to a team focused on Walmart customer brands.

  21. Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance targets for team members, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure success
