Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and bilingual individual fluent in both Spanish and English to join our client as a Bilingual Medical Receptionist. This role plays a crucial part in facilitating communication between our healthcare professionals and our Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet patients and visitors in both Spanish and English.

• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.

• Verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history accurately.

• Answer phone calls in a professional manner, providing assistance and information to callers in both languages.

• Assist Spanish-speaking patients with completing necessary forms and documents.

• Collect co-pays and payments from patients, issuing receipts and providing financial assistance as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and address any concerns or questions.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

• Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and electronic medical records systems.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Compassionate attitude and genuine desire to help others.

• Knowledge of medical terminology in both Spanish and English is a plus.
