GE Vernova Project Risk Analyst (m/w/d) in Berlin, Germany

Job Description Summary

In the context of an HVDC offshore Project, the Project Risk Analyst will take responsibility for elements of the risk management process, both internally and externally, and support the overall project risk management activity.

Major Responsibilities

You will be supporting the identification, assessment, and the proactive management of risks (both threats and opportunities) ensuring that risk data are kept up to date.

Engage the project team in the risk management requirements proactively.

Once you build your understanding of the risk management standards, be in a position to challenge and assure risk data with the teams.

Update risk registers, prepare risk reports and analyses to support management in decision making.

Automate and increase efficiency in elements of the implemented risk management processes, tools, and templates.

Prepare and support risk workshops with the project teams.

Qualification And Requirements

  • Broad and diverse background i.e., Project Management, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Cost Estimators, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical) Data analytics, but not limited.

  • Interest in project risk management with ability to learn in this field and gain an expertise.

  • Curious and growth mindset

  • Ability and interest to deep dive into complex analytical issues.

  • Mastery of MS Office tools (e.g., Excel) to support these analytics is required.

  • Work in multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent coordination and cooperation skills; a team player who is willing and able to work with others to solve problems and share knowledge.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is an advantage.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Desired Characteristic

  • Previous project management experience in large and complex infrastructure projects

  • Previous experience in industries with large and complex engineering focused projects, programmes and regulated environments (major infrastructure, rail, highways, oil and gas, nuclear)
