Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in Birmingham, Alabama. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. The candidate will primarily be supporting both internal and external customers, answering queries about payments, taking payments over the phone, and handling email correspondence related to billing and payment questions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service while handling inbound calls from customers

• Respond to customer inquiries about payments and process payments over the phone

• Manage email correspondence related to billing and payment inquiries

• Adapt to and efficiently operate in a remote work environment

• Use Microsoft Excel for basic operations and data management

• Utilize Microsoft Outlook for professional correspondence

• Perform bank reconciliations and cash reconciliations

• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) functions and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

• Demonstrated experience in managing Email Correspondence in a professional setting

• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on maintaining positive client relationships

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations

• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations

• Commitment to continuous learning and development in the role.
