To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a keen engineering mind. While all engineering backgrounds and levels of experience will be considered, individuals with some or all of the following attributes are particularly desirable:

  • Ability or interest in low voltage electrical design preferably in the UK transportation sector.

  • Knowledge and experience of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure design.

  • Registration with the Engineering Council, ideally EngTech and aspiring to IEng or CEng.

  • Hold City & Guilds 18 th Edition Wiring Regulation certification (C&G 2382).

The role will involve low voltage electrical design and consultancy services for nationally significant clients, supporting technical leads on complex engineering projects. The individual will have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and experience with – or interest in – all aspects of electrical design. A typical day could include activities like:

  • Support the design team led in the production of an electrical design for a clients EV hub including stakeholder engagement and hardware specifications.

  • Checking a junior team members electrical design for a market trader pop-up power supply design.

  • Attending a meeting at the client office to report project progress and review the risk register.

  • Provide internal financial reports and updates for all active projects you are leading on.

Experience with the following software packages whilst desirable is not essential:

  • AutoCAD

  • Electrical Modelling Software

The successful individual can expect to work on a diverse range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations and will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

  • Have experience, or interest in electrical design, delivery and construction.

  • Are a confident and organised individual who suits a high volume, fast-paced work environment.

  • Can demonstrate interpersonal, organisational, analytical, technical and communication skills.

  • Are familiar with the relevant standards and guidance applicable to electrical works.

  • Have experience with lighting design software, electrical design software, Autodesk and Microsoft Office packages.

  • Have, or are able to show potential in developing, an understanding of the CDM Regulations and financial and contractual risk.

  • Can demonstrate that you meet the role requirements through your CV and the interview process.
