DRN (Dickey Rural Network) Administrative Assistant - ReadiTech Engineering in Bismarck, North Dakota
ReadiTech Engineering, Bismarck, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a full time position.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated team member for the position of Administrative/Technical Project Assistant. The Administrative/Technical Project Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and technical support to the engineering team including but not limited to project managers, right-of-way, and all other team members as needed. Additionally, the position is responsible for performing routine and complex administrative and technical duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist project managers and others as needed with project related tasks
- Assist with Right of Way tasks
- Establish positive relationships with internal and external clients
- Create, acquire, and file easements as required
- Comply with local and state laws
- Assist field staff as needed
- Maintain confidentiality
- Coordinate internal/external events
- Process incoming/outgoing mail, UPS and FedEx
- Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies
- Arrange meetings, tasks, travel as needed
- Utilize Microsoft Office software as well as other software and equipment
- Utilize effective written and oral communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of administrative support techniques and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of aerial, underground, copper, fiber and substructure design
- Knowledge and understanding of telephone industry standards, local telecom practices and procedures, local city, state, and government rules and regulations
- Knowledge and experience in Telecommunications Outside Plant Construction projects
- Knowledge and understanding to follow company established standard drafting procedures for file structure and standard drawing procedures for projects
- Skill in Microsoft Office software as well as other software and equipment to prepare and revise technical drawings using company established standard procedures
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Skill to use tact, discretion, and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive situations and concerned property owners
- Skill to process technical data and legal requirements regarding right-of-way issues
- Ability to exercise independent thinking, creativity, and initiative
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrate ability to communicate well with a positive and friendly manner both orally and in writing
- Demonstrate the ability to accept responsibility for and work under occasional stressful situations with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrate desire to learn new skills as technologies change
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in a related field, Associates degree in related field and/or two (2) years of applicable work experience
- Office suite software (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
- Notary Public license preferred
