Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to be part of our team based in BLUE ASH, Ohio. In this role, you will support the financial operations of the company, manage accounts payable (AP) activities, assist with month-end reporting, and liaise with banking institutions, among other duties. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of the finance and accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• Support the financial operations of the company, which includes accounting, treasury management, budgeting, audit, and taxation.

• Assist with management reporting and month-end duties, such as journal entries.

• Manage AP activities, including reviewing and posting invoices processed by AP assistants.

• Compile weekly payment selections for vendors and process outgoing payments.

• Handle duties related to expense report processing and credit card reconciliations.

• Support headquarters with accounting inquiries and act as a communication link with the finance division.

• Work with the accounting team on tasks and issues as needed.

• Drive and implement process improvement and analytical ideas to enhance efficiency and profitability.

• Liaise with bankers on banking matters within permissions.

• Carry out any other assigned duties.

Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
