Title Pavement Marking Supervisor  (Bluffdale, UT)

Description POSITION SUMMARY: Manages pavement marking employees assigned to pavement marking safety projects by assuring project is completed to customer specifications. Communicates with prime contractors, as it relates to project work and directs PMT I, PMT II and PMT III by assigning and follow-up on work. Oversees pavement marking projects on state highways and other roadways and other assigned projects. Leads traffic control crew, and supervises job site. Manages project related operations including employee, motorist, and pedestrian safety, DOT compliance, Inventory control, customer billing and personnel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Manages Pavement Marking projects. * Supervises Pavement Marking work crews * In charge of assuring safety on the job site and all employees follow PPE and safety requirements * Assures daily toolbox talks, safety training is being completed * Assure timesheets and work tickets are completed daily * Communicates with customers related to billing, project changes and relates information to appropriate RoadSafe employees. * Operates company trucks to transport employees, materials, and equipment to job sites. * Place traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work area. * Check work zone throughout shift to be sure items are still in their proper location. * Pick up traffic control items at beginning and end of shift and load into the truck. * Drive TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to and from project and on work site to protect workers and work zone. * Install, remove and reset delineators, signs, posts and supports. * Shop work which may include general maintenance and repair of equipment. * Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * A high school diploma (or equivalent), * A valid Driver's License is required to operate company trucks. * ATSSA Certifications required - Flagger * First Aid certification and Defensive Driving Certification preferred * Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass background check including driving. * Basic reading/writing ability to comply with road signs, complete paperwork and knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations is also required. * Candidates must possess good knowledge of state and local roadways and have experience with operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes. * Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds for long periods of time and knowledge of safety procedures for securing and transporting cargo is essential. * Previous experience in Pavement Marking and traffic control set ups in required. * Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements. * Must be willing to travel throughout the state as projects require with occasional overnight stays paid by company. * Must have some mechanical background/experience. * Must be able to work nights/weekends as project demands. * Must be able to be on a rotating on call schedule.
