Mill Creek Residential is seeking a qualified candidate for the Senior Financial Analyst position who will assist in the daily workflow related to budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, and management/investor reporting. This position will report to the Director of Planning and support our Finance Associate by maintaining and updating our underwriting tools. He/she will assist in a variety of activities including, quarterly reporting, financial modeling, and market research and analytics. This position will have regular interactions with executive management, including responding to direct inquiries, communicating results, and providing perspective on analyses. A proactive and adaptive attitude is required for this highly visible role.
Essential Functions
Understand the firm`s modeling framework and underlying business forecasting
Support data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems
Research market and industry trends and patterns
Analyze current and past financial performance
Prepare reports and projections based on analyses
Prepare investor presentations and external compliance metrics
Special projects
All other duties as assigned
Expectations
Participate in annual planning and budgeting analysis
Ability to provide quantitative solutions
Complete assignments within specified timelines
Ability to function in a fast paced environment
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate to senior leadership, including the CFO, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer
Ability to multi-task and manage a complex workload to meet reporting deadlines
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work in multiple software applications and/or modeling platforms
Open to taking on new tasks
Required Experience and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, accounting, or similar degree
2-4 years of accounting or finance experience
Advanced excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of and ability to analyze financial statements
Programming experience, such as VBA
Real estate industry experience
