Purpose of Role
The Market Planner primary role is to manage end to end Supply Chain Network to guarantee stock availability in the market to deliver service expectations, balancing stock levels to meet cash targets and find the optimal distribution costs.
The role includes planning and coordination of stock transfers among across all network nodes/sources (including 3rd parties) in collaboration with production sites and Global Planning teams.
Responsibility for planning of supply of imported products with manufacturing plants, 3PL’s, carriers, customs, etc.
In short, this role responsibility is to guarantee the right stock, at the right time, at the right place and at the right cost.

Imports planning in SAP APO.
Inventory management to balance Stock and Service targets.
Data management for planning parameters in SAP ECC / SAP APO
Copackers Planning Manufactured Finished Goods Products
Inventory Projections for finished products and materials
Lead Supply Review as per S&OP Process in the markets.
Adjust and actively participation in segmentation process to ensure the right portfolio management.
Manage SKU transitions, Innovation pipelines and delisting processes.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) (at country and at LAC levels) :
Service Level - Case Fill Rate
DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) plan stability
Stock Policy adherence
Inventory & Service Optimization: Total Inventory as a % of NSV, Total Inventory vs Target, % Healthy Inventory, SLOB, Days Forward Coverage, Days Outstanding Inventory.
Supply Planning: Adherence to Agreed Replenishment Plan, DRP Plan Stability, Adherence to Agreed Delivery Frequency (DRP), Escalations.
Master Data Management.
Markets:
This role covers operational excellence support for one of the 6 LAC markets: Brazil, Mexico, CCA (Caribbean and Central America), Colombia, Venezuela, and South LAC.
Financial and Operational Complexity:
Direct responsibility over optimal operation of LAC Supply Chain in Diageo scope markets, with an NSV value of £1.5bn, from over 25M EU (Equivalent Unit) Cases, directly managing average of £169M of inventory (region). Average £3.2M in orders are placed weekly (region).
At least 5 diverse sources are managed per market. (Europe, NAM, MX, Guatemala, Copackers)
Average 2-3 warehouses per market. Up to 21 in one of the markets.
150 active/base SKUs planned on a yearly basis.
+700 planning combinations responsibility
Top Accountabilities
Managing Supply Chain Planning – Total Inventory Market Planning.
Rolling 18-month shipment plan definition for all imported spirits (Weekly and Monthly buckets)
Reporting of KPIs, monthly calls, weekly health tracker and/or risk assessments, SKU exceptions.
Leading supply of imported products with manufacturing plants and logistics teams
Managing value across the Market’s Supply Chain (E.g. minimize write-offs, double handling, etc)
Single point of contact to the Global Brands Supply Centres & Demand for supply of product into market to ensure product continuity.
Risks Projections and mitigation plans (Service & Stock).
Lead Supply Review Meeting.
Managing Supply Chain Planning – Local Replenishment
Continuously collaboration and influence with production sites to coordinate an efficient and prompt flow of products through the network.
Guardian of all stock movements among the network (on time, in full, in quality, on cost)
Creation of stock transfer orders (STO’s) through SAP PO to fulfil stock requirements in each node.
Obsession with sales & out of stocks signals with the goal of anticipating and planning to improve customer service.
Meet the optimal replenishment strategy to meet cost targets improvement.
Ownership over Stock Policy optimization
Process, communication and performance management
Responsible for maintaining consistent inventory management practices in line with meeting demand requirements, identifying solutions to mitigate risks and improve overall tracking.
Responsible to conduct root cause analysis of multiple information streams
Management of the phasing in & out of products during it product life cycle
Management of slow-moving stock with the objective of minimising the write off obsolete finished products
Monthly S&OP Supply Review input for imported produced spirits
Define and deliver RUN/IMPROVE/TRANSFORM programs/initiatives
Qualifications and Experience Required
Skills and Capabilities
Strong understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
Anticipation mindset and agility to make decisions.
Resilience and adaptative skills.
Solid communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
Digital Supply Chain expertise desirable.
Experience
3 to 5 years’ experience working within the Supply Planning process (DRP, MPS, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Inventory Optimization) in Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry.
Experience with advanced planning software within Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, Logistics, engineering, or business degree.
APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.
English proficiency
