The Idaho Department of Insurance is searching for temporary Customer Service Representative 1 position (CSR1) in Boise with DOI’s SHIBA Program (https://doi.idaho.gov/shiba/about-shiba/) (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors)!

SHIBA provides free, unbiased assistance to Idahoans regarding Medicare benefits. Through the Medicare open enrollment period, you will be a valuable part of the DOI Team. This position sets up counseling appointments using MS Outlook, provides customer assistance over the phone, works in a proprietary computer program, and performs a variety of office support functions for SHIBA.

The length of service for this position is estimated to ten weeks. It starts in the beginning of October and ends in mid-December. The weekly schedule will be dependent upon the hired individual’s availability and may be up to 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Performing keyboard functions;

  • Operating telephone and corresponding software;

  • Providing customer service in a business setting;

  • Responding to customer requests verbally and in writing;

  • Maintain files.

The applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a fingerprint background check.

This position is ineligible for benefits, and is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.
