R1 RCM Senior Accountant in Boise, Idaho

As our Senior Corporate Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for managing the general ledger for the Company’s lease portfolio. Working under the direction of the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Senior Corporate Accountant coordinates with Legal, Real Estate, FP&A, and other functional teams to accurately record expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the Company. The Corporate Accounting Senior will be responsible for assembling, consolidating, evaluating, interpreting, and analyzing financial and accounting information beyond leases. The position reconciles and adjusts general ledger accounts, bank statements, and financial reports, alerts management to financial issues and inconsistencies, provides solution alternatives to moderately complex accounting problems, and compiles and evaluates fluctuations in results and provides to management for consideration.

In this role, you will have routine interaction with the internal and external auditors. The individual should be a highly motivated self-starter with experience in contract review and technical accounting research.

Responsibilities:

  • Records monthly ASC 842 lease expense and other journal entries

  • Maintains the Company’s lease portfolio using third-party SaaS software

  • Researches US GAAP accounting treatment and document via checklist or whitepaper

  • Collaborates with functional teams to identify new or amended leases

  • Prepares account rollforwards and reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Performs monthly and quarterly SOX internal controls including impairment testing of right-of-use assets

  • Participates in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities

  • Integrates acquisitions and implements new software solutions for leases and other assigned subject areas

  • Provides support for financial statement disclosures

  • Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures

  • Performs other ad hoc projects and requests as required

  • Brings inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management

  • Exercises sound business acumen and judgment, and understands the financial operations of departments, divisions, and business units supported

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years' related experience

  • Experience in a SOX environment, via audit and/or corporate accounting role

  • CPA

Desired Qualifications:

  • Public accounting experience

  • Oracle experience

  • ASC 842 lease accounting experience or comparable experience with contract review and interpretive accounting guidance

  • LeaseCalcs or other lease administration software experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $52,972.00 - $66,215.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
