Are you ready for a new challenge? We are looking for a Senior Manager of the Global Facilities Equipment team, who will be leading and establishing the assigned category strategy and supplier relationships.

You will lead our global category supplier managers. The team works on a multifaceted portfolio of categories and sub-categories including various facilities equipment categories such as electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, gas handling equipment, chemical equipment, ultra-pure water (UPW), and wastewater treatment plant (WWT).

The team will play a key role in supporting our global expansion projects and our existing FAB's global footprints for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

You will have experience leading global teams and supervising performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities.

In this role, you are encouraged to collaborate with cross-functional partners, 3rd party service providers, and suppliers across multiple categories and regions, in an indirect procurement leadership role. You will engage in, lead, and supervise the development and implementation of category strategies to optimize cost, supply, quality, sourcing strategies, and contract compliance and participate in the resolution of any constraints or issues.

You will be exposed to mega-scale EPC projects of Micron’s global expansion and will plan and implement global category strategies!

The position is located in Boise, Idaho . Micron’s Headquarters .

Build and Implement Indirect Categories

  • Work with direct and cross-functional teams to plan strategic sourcing direction for a category.

  • Recommend targets for spend reduction, sourcing efficiency, supplier management, and supply base optimization

  • Define and deliver category cost savings and scorecard metric targets, supervise and report progress to targets

  • Recommend resource levels across Indirect Procurement sourcing categories, projects, and functions

  • Observe and adjust category compliance (e.g. risk, spend, quality, supplier segmentation, management)

  • Communicate sourcing trends and results.

  • Maintain supplier segmentation map for category, and build partnerships with strategic suppliers

Lead and Manage Indirect Procurement Team

  • Support building a skilled, strategic sourcing Procurement team (recruitment, training, staffing, and retention)

  • Build consensus on the category strategic plan and refine (if required)

  • Drive team engagement, inspiring and motivating the team to do their best and achieve daring goals

  • Provide leadership on Global Procurement initiatives, providing clarity and line of sight for the Indirect Category team

  • Assist the Director in building a coordinated strategic plan, including driving innovation and ground-breaking initiatives.

  • Represent Micron in industry and professional forums

Collaborate with Stakeholders, Partners, and Suppliers on Category Strategies

  • Initiate and sustain effective communication with team members, partners, top-down, and suppliers (top-down)

  • Share updates back to the Director and/or Indirect Leadership Teams (bottom-up)

  • Advance issues, offering options and recommendations for resolution

  • Communicate strategic sourcing goals, category management plans, initiatives, and targets

  • Build and cultivate relationships with supplier executives.

Collaborate to Deliver Strategic Solutions

  • Implement processes to supervise customer happiness for key suppliers

  • Drive a proactive approach with collaborators when solving issues and representing Procurement

  • Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions.

Qualifications and Education:

  • PMP and/ or CPSM certification, preferred

  • Semiconductor related Engineering background, preferred

  • Led multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work independently with strong project management skills.

  • Strong technical background and understanding of Semiconductor FAB operations with knowledge of the functionality of each facility's equipment in FAB.

  • Over 15 years of validated experience and market intelligence in the Semiconductor industry

  • Proficient in technical knowledge of facilities equipment

  • Comfortable around Senior Leaders and Executives, ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations

  • Ability to travel up to 30%. Domestic and International.
