In this position...

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to drive the development, deployment, and enhancement of Yield Management Advanced Analytics capabilities. These include, but not limited to, product development, maintenance, and enhancement of data science capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, advanced analytics, and a proven track record of improving business processes through data-driven decision making. This role will involve assessing existing toolsets, identifying opportunities for innovation & enhancement, and implementing solutions with paramount focus on business impact.

What you'll do...

Product Development for Yield Management:

  • Product development, maintenance, and enhancement of data science capabilities.

  • Collaborate closely with the product development team, and our business stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement on these fundamental capabilities.

  • Build rapid prototypes and test & assess the business utility of these solutions.

  • Standardize these capabilities, as applicable, across data science use cases and business engagements.

Toolset Assessment and Enhancement:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing data science toolsets and methodologies.

  • Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in existing tools and processes.

  • Recommend and implement enhancements to existing tools or adoption of new technologies/algorithms to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, finance, and IT, to gather requirements and ensure alignment on advanced analytics initiatives.

  • Communicate complex data science concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Data Governance and Quality:

  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy in all advanced analytics models and processes.

  • Implement best practices for data management, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation.

  • Establish and maintain robust documentation for all data science projects and methodologies.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related engineering and/or analytical field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a data science role with a focus on product development and optimization.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and optimization tools.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and embedded application development (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Dash, Streamlit).

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in the manufacturing industries, sales & marketing, Yield Management, Finance
