The University of Colorado Department of Athletics encourages applications for Assistant Athletic Trainer! This position will assist with the healthcare of the Football student-athletes and Ralphie Handlers. The Assistant Athletic Trainer supports with the management, prevention, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of these student-athletes, and is responsible in assisting the Associate Athletics Director of Health and Performance in maintaining the Athletic Department's Sports Medicine Program.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies, and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac 12 Conference, and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Prevention and care of athletic-related injuries for all sports programs.
Has primary responsibility for the healthcare of Football and Ralphie Handler student-athletes.
In conjunction with the rest of the athletic training staff, has responsibility for NCAA-mandated coverage of all off-season conditioning sessions.
Provide medical coverage for summer youth camps.
Athletic training student program:
Assist in the supervision of a sports medicine student intern program, which includes teaching and evaluation.
Assist with the recruitment and education of Masters Level Athletic Training Students.
Assist staff athletic trainers in the coordination of student-athlete physicals.
Assist Insurance Coordinator with the collection of Summer and Winter insurance updates.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director of Health and Performance.
Departmental Responsibilities (Continual):
Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations. The violation of NCAA or Conference rules on the part of Athletic Department Personnel may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Follow the principles stated in the Athletic Departments Mission Statement and promote loyalty to the mission by all staff and student-athletes under their supervision.

What We Can Offer
The salary range for is $62,000 - $63,500 annually.
Additional Compensation Details:
Relocation is available within department guidelines.

What We Require
Bachelors Degree and NATABOC Certification or Certified eligible. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
Three years post graduate experience.
What You Will Need

What We Would Like You To Have
Post Master's Graduate Assistant experience.
Experience in NCAA Division I Football/ NFL.
