Bozeman Health Resident Associate Nutrition Specialist (PT- 0.6 FTE) in Bozeman, Montana

This is a part-time position, 0.6FTE, 24 hours/week; Monday-Wednesday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.Position Summary:

The Resident Associate Nutrition Specialist delivers resident care in order to facilitate resident satisfaction, facility efficiency and provider productivity. The Resident Associate Nutrition Coordinator assists with the day to day needs of the residents related to comfort, mobility, nutritional services, meal assistance and ADLs as specified. This position manages the day-to-day set up of the dining area, meal service to residents, families or guests and insure nutritional needs for residents via instruction of the LPN are in compliance with regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • American Heart Association BLS required within 2 months of hire

  • American Heart Association Heart Saver First Aid required within 2 months of hire

  • ServSafe required within 2 months of hire

  • Minimum of 1 year of caregiver, nutritional services, or similar experience

  • Preferred: Certified Nurse Aide

  • Preferred: 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership needed to direct and oversee the entire meal service program as assigned. Includes all meals, nutritional snacks, and hydration for the resident population in assisted living seven days a week.

  • Ensures that the meal service expectations are consistent between facilities.

  • Promotes safety assists residents with attendance at activities, appointments and meals.

  • Collects information about residents and their dietary intake and needs.

  • Provides meal assistance to all residents including nutritional requirement under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

  • Provide day-to-day oversite and meal service expectations to the weekend meal service staff in Birchwood

  • Ability to give safe, comfortable and accurate care according to the individualized care plan

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work varied shifts.

  • Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment.

  • Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight.
