Bozeman Health Senior Cloud Engineer (FT- 1 FTE, Variable Shift, On-Site Only- Not Remote Eligible) in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, security, and day to day maintenance of Bozeman Health’s Public and Private Cloud environments including networking, compute, storage, backup, and identity. This position works closely with all areas of IT to assist in deploying and managing their respective responsibilities in Bozeman Health’s Public or Private Cloud to keep all IT operations functioning. The Senior Cloud Engineer role includes installing, configuring and upgrading a variety of software and associated devices in identified Cloud environments. Diagnosing and troubleshooting both common and unusual system problems working closely with all members of IT and vendor support. Performing preventive maintenance on assigned systems, along with monitoring performance, improving and modifying monitoring systems, and responding proactivity to minimize disruption to services. The systems are monitored 24/7. Develops and maintains server, backup and system diagrams and ensures all necessary documentation remains current.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Technology Management, Computer Programming/Software Development, or Computer Networking or seven years of related experience.
Certification in Azure, AWS or GCP.
Five (5) years of windows server and active directory experience both on premise and in cloud infrastructure.
Five (5) years of experience with public and/or private clouds, disaster recovery systems.
Direct experience in the design, planning and executing a cloud migration strategy.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Technology Management, Computer Programming/Software Development, or Computer Networking or ten years of related experience.
Preferred: Prior hospital or medical practice experience.
Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot servers, backup and disaster recovery systems.
Support backup and disaster recovery solutions and associated infrastructure.
Install, administer, support, and maintain a variety of systems, servers, hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.
Manage and support the information systems security solutions, policies and directives and ensure assigned systems remain current and up to date with security updates.
Assist other IS staff with resolution of technical and process issues, network system support and troubleshooting.
Recommend new technologies and budgetary needs to ensure BH systems remain relevant.
Work to constantly improve monitoring reporting and documentation in an effort to minimize down time.

Schedule Requirements
This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
