Job Title: PDU Testing Technician

Job Description

Seeking a skilled PDU Testing Technician to perform routine and special tests on various products such as transformers, power metering products, distribution units, and other integrated systems. The successful candidate will assist in product assembly following blueprints and schematics, interpret standard documentation for custom appliances, assemble mechanical components with precision, and recommend improvements in products, processes, and practices. Responsibilities also include adhering to all ISO 9001 and related policies and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment, and performing other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

• Experience working with electrical or electronics

• Proficiency with hand and power tools

• Strong applied knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits

• Electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical diploma from a Community College or equivalent.

• C.E.T. certification an asset

• Ability to assemble mechanical parts using assembly drawings and bills of material

• Knowledgeable in the use of power meters, hi pot testers, etc.

• Familiar with hand tools, soldering irons, portable power tools

• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brampton, Ontario.

Work Environment

Candidates will work in a large warehouse with an enclosed testing area specifically for testing PDUs. All necessary materials are provided and organized for efficiency. Shifts available include Day Shift from 7 AM - 3:30 PM and Afternoon Shift from 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM. The environment is well-lit, though slightly dusty, and usually involves working independently or with another tester in close quarters.
