POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Manager owns the financial forecasting, budgeting, data gathering and analysis processes. The individual provides leadership to improve financial results in the areas of sales, gross profit, operating profit and working capital. The role is a key business partner to the North American organization, works closely with North American R&D, Product Management, Commercial and G&A Leadership, and interfaces with key company executives and functions, namely the CFO and Director of Finance.

They should be able to work independently, drive positive change, including evaluating and streamlining of existing processes and controls to deliver accurate and timely results ensuring proper use of company resources and assets.

Please note : This a hybrid position position and will require someone in the office at our HQ in Brea three days a week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver accurate monthly financial statements and forecasts according to local statutory and U.S. GAAP:

  • Two- to three-day close required internally

  • High degree of accuracy of variances and operating expenses

  • Engagement of key business partners in commitment to forecast Create a ‘no surprises’ culture on forecasts

  • Manage revenue systems reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy between different data sources. Work closely with finance, sales, operations, and IT teams to drive alignment and collaboration on revenue-related initiatives.

  • Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and forecasts, etc.

  • Examine the company’s system of accounts, interpret and stay abreast of complex transactions.

  • Establish major economic objectives and policies for the division and prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings.

  • Coordinate and prepare the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures, and analyze/report variances.

  • Analysis of financial results to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures and the need for countermeasures Complete forecast and budget submissions, including upload into the company’s financial system (HFM).

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analysis and corporate submissions.

  • Measure and track departmental spending vs budget and forecast.

  • Establishment and/or use of company databases to retrieve relevant information for use in analyzing current performance and determine future plans and forecasts.

  • Make recommendations for improvements regarding cost savings or profit-generating opportunities.

  • Miscellaneous financial projects, analysis, account reconciliations and administrative duties as assigned.

  • Assist in the continuous improvement, development, modification and implementation of financial systems as necessary including learning and using the Envista Business System (EBS) tools.

  • Create a strong Internal Control environment, own basics of compliance such as Sarbanes-Oxley and FCPA requirements, corporate and company Internal Audit activities and monthly balance sheet reviews but create proactive, uncompromising, localized internal control practices that safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of actuals and forecasts for North America- based operations and remote operating locations alike.

  • Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.

Job Requirements:

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field

  • Must have 8+ years experience of FP&A (budgeting, forecasting and analytics) in a manufacturing oriented multi-site environment/matrix organization

  • Fluent in English

  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle, Tableau and HFM, including data extraction, submission and report compilation

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel

  • Must have the ability to think strategically

  • US GAAP principles and local statutory accounting principles Working knowledge of SOX, controls and procedures

  • Operates at all levels within the organization

  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines

  • Strong skills in data extraction and report compilation with database applications

  • Ability to work overtime and do what it takes to get the job done

  • Excellent communication skills

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
