U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in Bremerton, Washington

Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST. Responsibilities You will direct a full range of employee benefit services, including the Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA) program. You will provide guidance on the Depart of Labor's (DOL) injury compensation standards, regulations, directives, and policies. You will directly supervise a team of HR Specialists and Assistants who provide services to a contingency of civilian personnel at PSNS and IMF. You will manage an employee development program; overseeing a team of subordinates who purchase, schedule training, and monitor enrollment for the program. You will manage an effective recognition program, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on the requirements and policies of the program. You will participate in selecting, removing, and/or promoting employees. You will be responsible for scheduling and balancing the team's workload. You will approve/disapprove leave requests, work schedule changes, overtime, training, awards and travel. You will plan and conduct interviews and select and/or recommend selection for vacant positions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering and guiding human resource-related services, such as injury compensation programs, benefit services, or employee development and performance programs to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
