PDR T echnical T rainer

The PDR T echnical Trainer reports to the National Training Manager and builds an efficient and productive Technician workforce by provid ing comprehensive skill training and knowledge transfer . Technical Trainers specialize in one Paintless Dent Removal (PDR). Working closely with field management, the Trainer teaches skills while developing , delivering , and enhancing training courses .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use proven methods to d emonstrate , teach, and coach groups of Technician Trainees in automotive dent repair, paint , and wheel reconditioning t echnique s

  • T ransfer knowledge and develop the skill of new employees

  • C oach past course graduates who may have technical questions or concerns

  • Teach appropriate completion of administrative tasks including time sheets and purchase order submission s , Paid Time Off requests, etc.

  • Author weekly progress reports to keep Trainee supervisor s up-to-date on all things relevant

  • Maintain operation’s manuals and ensure use of the most current information

  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of training areas and facilities

  • Assemble new Technician manuals and wheel kits as necessary

  • Order new training aides as needed

  • Foster and maintain a safe, positive , and equitable working environment

  • Manage inventory pulled for demonstration and practice during classes

  • Create itemized lists of tools for Technicians receiving a new start up set

  • Schedule Trainee transportation to and from facilities and classe s

  • Return phone calls, emails , etc. within 24 hours

  • Follow C ompany procedures , policies , and protocols

  • Complete o ther duties as assigned

    Required Qualification s

    T horough understanding of Dent Wizard business and the organization

    C omplet ion of specialized training in at least one of the servic e courses offered

    K nowledge of training processes and procedures

    5 + years of experience in field reconditioning work

    2 + years of experience in field training

    Excellent demonstration, presentation, and c ommunication skills

    Physical Requirements

    Regularly required to stand and walk

    Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb

    Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

    Ability to lift to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.)

    Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks

    Frequent exposure to toxic chemicals

    Exposure to m oderate noise level s

    Respirators must be worn for paint application , and other protective equipment may be required

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The starting base salary is expected to be between $80,000 and $100,000 annually. The total compensation package may also include a relocation bonus. We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
