Sanofi Group Project Leader, Commercial and Digital Projects - Vaccines in Bridgewater, New Jersey
Summary of Purpose/Major Responsibilities
Reporting into the iShift Program lead, US Vaccines Commercial Operations, the Project Leader, Commercial and Digital Projects plays a critical role in representing Commercial needs on large scale digital projects. The role’s focus over the next 18 months will be on supporting the development and launch of a new SHIFT/Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) and driving, together with the Program lead, the implementation for the US Vaccines Business Unit.
The Project Leader is part of the North America Vaccines Strategy team and will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders across the organization including the Vaccines North America Leadership team (NALT), iShift Deployment Team, and Digital Teams. In particular, the Project Leader will closely partner with the Vaccines US Business Units, Customer Services, Market Access, BOS, etc. to deliver strategic projects such as iShift.
The position is based in Bridgewater, NJ or Swiftwater, PA unless otherwise agreed to by the US Vaccines Commercial Operations’ Leadership team.
Key Accountability
Project Execution and Governance - 40%
Ensure that internal stakeholder voices are heard, and solutions meet the needs of the business and customers
Work cross-functionally with Global Project Leads and Digital Team partners to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
Organize and provide direction to key business stakeholders so project activities are efficiently meeting goals.
Responsible for overseeing ERP System solutions testing and launch activities within Vaccine Customer Service and Trade departments.
Responsible for organizing and running of the ERP working group, including, agenda, minutes, and actions and associated follow up.
Responsible for working with the Commercial Operations Lead to deliver leadership progress updates on deliverables, timelines, issues, and solutions.
Digital Projects - 20%
Responsible for understanding and executing key processes related to digital projects for US Marketing.
Responsible for a complete understanding of the specific Regulatory requirements (advertising and promotional) for digital projects.
This includes providing guidance to marketing teams that are developing content within digital projects scope.
Capture key learnings within knowledge database and share them with Marketing, Communications, and other project sponsors.
Develop and roll out group training sessions as required.
Compliance – Digital Processes and Initiatives - 20%
Responsible for understanding business processes and potential compliance risks within vaccine commercial operations
Responsible for understanding and overseeing the execution of any required process for digital initiatives.
This includes communication of the changes and training stakeholders on the process.
Digital (ITS) Liaison - 10%
Serve as functional and communication link between Customer Marketing and Digital to ensure speed of tactic deployment (for assigned projects).
Responsible for understanding business critical project needs and ensuring those needs are considered during project planning and execution.
Other project management duties as required by business-critical needs - 10%
- Assisting with commercial projects as needed
Context of the Job/Major Challenges
To be successful, the project manager must be able to navigate and work cross functionally as well as cross GBU and cross geography.
This will ensure constant coordination, collaboration, and communication to gain consensus on execution.
Managing multiple stakeholders need in conjunction with business needs requires strong organization, communication, and conflict management skills.
Requirements
Education/experience/competencies/soft skills
BS/BA required, preferably in Life Sciences, Engineering or Management, with min of 5 years relevant commercial experience.
At least 3 years of Project Management experience is required (advanced and organizational project management skills).
Proficiency with MS Project or similar electronic management tool.
Aptitude and interest in learning and optimizing technical/ITS systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to positively influence others, make decisions, and drive accountability for project deliverables and timelines.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal with practical results of methods and approaches that have proven effective.
Demonstrated communication skills in a cross functional setting.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
