Overview

The Sr. Specialist of the NDT Contracts Oversight group in the Welding Center of Excellence Engineering section will be responsible for managing all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) work in coordination with Construction Management and Major Project Engineering. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of NDT processes and contract management. The responsibilities include scheduling NDT work, maintaining OQ compliance in ITS and collaborating with different organizations to ensure work is completed in a timely manner, and hours are recorded and reported accurately for payment processing. Maintain tracking of scheduled field activities on any ongoing transmission main work.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Major Projects, Transmission Maintenance and Construction to support field work by ensuring NDT vendors are available when needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Supply Chain, NDT vendors and service providers.
  • Schedule NDT vendors for ongoing projects and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Implement a tracking system for vendor hours and services to ensure accurate billing.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations by managing NDT certifications (OQ program) and quality plans.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
  • Identify process automation opportunities using data analytics and technology to provide efficiencies and create data transparency.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Science and 3 years full-time related work experience or
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Science and 4 years full-time related work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Required
  • Must possess work experience in data analytics, and financial management. Required
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills. Required
  • Must possess excellent data and problem-solving skills. Required
  • Experience with NDT techniques and quality assurance processes. Preferred
  • Experience in gas industry or with pipeline projects. Preferred

  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments

Licenses And Certfications
  • Driver's License Required

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Ability to respond to system emergencies
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.

Minimum Salary: 95000.00 Maximum Salary: 130000.00 Salary Unit: Yearly
