MN Urology is currently seeking a full time Clinical Assistant (RN) in Brooklyn Park, MN. Monday-Friday Regular Daytime Hours, No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays! Minnesota Urology is the largest independent urologic specialty practice in the state of Minnesota and was formed as an integration of Minnesota's two most respected independent urology practices; Minnesota Urology and Urology Associates. Primary Objective Responsible for providing basic care including assisting providers with all procedures and tests, traveling to satellite facilities with providers, providing patient education and teaching, communicating effectively with patients and all members of the clinical services team including receiving, recording, and responding to patient calls, and assisting other staff in the clinic. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs routine office procedures and testing in a safe and effective manner. Maintains a constant awareness of policies and procedures. Effectively communicates via telephone and in-person in a courteous, prompt and polite manner. Conducts telephone interviews and assessments of new and existing patients. Maintains triage protocol and implements follow-up procedure. Identifies common and recurring needs of the patient. Keeps all clinical areas clean and properly stocked. Documents observations, actions and patient outcomes. Handles information with discretion and maintains confidentiality. Communicates effectively and professionally with providers, co-workers and patients. Provides patient care assisting providers with procedures and a variety of tasks including patient intake, patient education and documenting accurately in EMR. Instructs patients and their families regarding medication and treatment preparation. Assists providers with special procedures including TRUS biopsies. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) License. Three plus years of experience in clinical nursing with specialty practice experience preferred. CPR Certification preferred. Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills are required.
