Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Deviation Investigator

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

About the Role:

As the Manufacturing Deviation Investigator, you will lead evaluation and close out of deviation events within the established timelines under general supervision of the Investigator. You will conduct investigations of limited scope and complexity to document product impact, identify causal factors.

How you will contribute:

  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

  • Builds stable working relationships internally within the team and with close stakeholder groups.

  • Document findings and impact assessment for deviations

  • Seeks to develop understanding of process, equipment, and organizational systems.

  • Demonstrate capability to analyze and resolve process related issues of lower level complexity.

  • Can occasionally lead/resolve mid-level complexity problems if in alignment with experience and skill set.

  • Support senior team members in the development and implementation of high impact/innovative solutions to issues

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Engineering or a related discipline

  • Related experience in the manufacturing and/or development of biologics or pharmaceuticals

  • Provides clear, concise and technically sound written & verbal communications in a timely manner with review / input from manager or senior team members

  • Demonstrates capacity to contribute to a discussion in a constructive and positive manner in group settings.

  • Ensures tone of communications supports positive and collaborative working relationships.

  • Proficient with the following software applications - Standard Microsoft Office applications

Important Considerations:

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment.

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

  • Stand or sit - Must be able to remain in a stationary or standing position for extended periods of time.

  • Wrist and hand motion (e.g. typing, writing)
