The Senior New Product Launch Engineering Tech is a crucial role responsible for working with the team executing the successful introduction of new medical products into the manufacturing environment. This professional will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition from product development to full-scale production, adhering to industry regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. Inspection equipment programming Preferred inspection fixture design in CAD (Solidworks) Work closely with the team to support NPL activities including: Support floor on first development pieces off the machine Help with Gage R&R activities Support floor on secondary operations pieces Help document inspection methods Support and help analyze capability analysis Investigate quality issues encountered during development, and provide recommendations to internal and external customers Typically operate independently with periodic guidance from supervisors/mentors to assess, evaluate, and employ established engineering methods, techniques, and processes. Participate in projects (NPL/CI/NCMR) which require you to help investigate, complete RCA, document, and then help implement changes Assist project teams in developing risk management and control plans to ensure products we produce meet customer expectations. Identify opportunities to implement SPC to improve the in process controls currently in place. Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: 4 year Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred 2+ years of experience, preferably in a Medical Device or component manufacturing environment Problem Solving and Critical Thinking to evaluate options and implement solutions Mechanical aptitude Attention to details Excellent written and oral communication skills (including data interpretation and reporting) Experience with PPAP, IQ, OQ, PQ, FMEA, control plans, DOE, MSA/Gage R&R, and risk management preferred Preferred experience in a contract manufacturing environment (Swiss and/or CNC machining, injection molding, assembly, etc.) Experience working within a Quality System (i.e., ISO 13485, AS9100D, GMP, etc.) Demonstrated willingness to learn and willingness to teach others Ability to use a computer Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets Sitting, Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Licensing/Registration/Certification: Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
