Your role. Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Apply your understanding of audit theories and procedures on client engagements to perform all phases of an audit, including planning and risk identification, internal control review and testing, substantive audit procedures, engagement wrap up, and financial statement preparation/review Research and conclude on various accounting and audit issues in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) or Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Review staff work product while providing constructive feedback and identifying staff developmental needs. Assist partners in developing ideas to help clients with operational and control opportunities, client presentations and selling opportunities. Develop and execute a practice development plan which includes networking, new client development and client expansion activities. Be a part of a growing team that builds relationships through mixers and various social functions Opportunities to be involved in various firm-wide and/ or regional non-billable initiatives, including on and off campus recruiting, internal trainings, mentoring programs, development of thought leadership, professional standards fellowships, etc. The qualifications. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required CPA required 10+ years of recent, related audit experience in public accounting Specialization with clients operating as banks/credit unions is required; other public company and other financial services experience, including investment, mortgage, or other finance companies is a plus Successful experience supervising and mentoring staff on engagements and for manager role, managing client relationships/engagements Understanding of Accounting Principles Generally Accepted in the United States especially those that are financial institution specific This position may require some local and national travel Our difference.
