The Senior Accountant within Core Finance will play a key supporting role in the finance team to deliver timely data and decision support including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, reports & maintaining appropriate documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide data analytics and transactional support to the Finance Business Areas

• Provide analysis of system data, engineering stores and other to the business

• ⁠Prepare key monthly reports to support decision making

• Gather data for and uploads forecasts to business systems; performs checks to ensure accuracy of uploaded data

• Provision of variance analysis vs. budget, flex budget, previous forecasts and prior year

• Assist in period end close duties and perform activities related to the finance closes including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, & maintaining appropriate documentation

• Is directly responsible for the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet

SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

• University degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance

• Minimum 3 years of experience in statutory accounting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Good command of Romanian and English (B2) - both speaking and writing

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Previous experience with accounting ERP’s, such as SAP, Microsoft Nav, etc.

• Previous experience in tax compliance

• CCF, CECCAR, ACCA, CIMA - completed or in progress
