What is the job about?

The Regional Head of Payroll & Benefits is responsible for overseeing the team and ensuring the timely delivery of payroll and benefits services across the region while maintaining a high level of compliance. This role also requires strong coordination with peers in the other 4 payroll regions to secure global consistency. Additionally, it is crucial to ensure a balanced approach between daily operations and the transformational ambitions in our global payroll roadmap.

You will be leading a large organisation currently consisting of five regions, a global payroll service center and a full scope of approximately 70 employees. You will be part of the Global Payroll & Benefits Leadership Team.

Your main responsibilities:

Managing the Central & Southern Europe region of Payroll & Benefits within in areas of end-to-end payroll, benefit administration, and Time & Attendance in the 16 countries across the region. The function is a transition phase where we over the coming years will move from very local and scattered responsibility to a more structured and centralized operating model.

Demonstrate including leadership by provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to the team and ensures business goals are met and that the organization has the necessary resources to operate efficiently. You will also be responsible for managing and controlling budgets for daily operations.

Securing a high level of compliance in close collaboration with the team and with local payroll supporters in the countries. This includes ensuring compliance with both legacy solutions and countries that have already adopted the global platform.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Leadership - Deliver results through employees and enable team productivity and individual productivity. Build an effective and successful team and ensure collaboration across relevant functional areas.

  • Daily operations - Responsible for developing standards and documentation framework for daily operations across the region.

  • Subject Matter Expert – Build an SME network in the region to secure continued development of the area and knowledge sharing both in the region and with peers in the Global Payroll & Benefits leadership team.

  • Stakeholder management - Manage the very diverse stakeholder landscape primarily focusing on local country managers, HR business partners, our IT organization, and internal collaboration partners in HR Services.

  • Governance, compliance & reporting - Implementation, maintenance and further development of framework for policies, support and documentation within the region.

  • Vendor management - Handle dialogue and coordination with the vendors to secure strong partnership.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • 5-7 years of experience within Payroll & Benefits in a multi country set-up

  • Fluency in English

  • Leadership experience (minimum people leadership and budget responsible)

  • Experience with contract and vendor management

  • Experience with complex stakeholder management

  • Experience in a global company, shared services centre
