For our Budapest Business Services Center we are currently looking for a

Senior Associate General Ledger

As a Senior Assocate General Ledger you will be working in a communicative, international environment at Celanese. In this position you will be responsible for US GAAP accounting, reporting and analyses of data and other ad hoc requests for information. You will be performing month-end closings, general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations, prepare SOX controls. Your main daily acttivities will be as following:

Prepare and review management reports and financial information analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Identifying, solving and/or escalating accounting issues to his/her supervisor

  • Interact with other finance and accounting personnel thorough the organisation

  • Continuously improve closing processes and efficiency

  • Ensures compliance with Celanese policies / procedures and SOX controls

  • Interfaces with external and internal auditors for PBC requests and process and account explanations

  • Actively participate in general ledger change projects as required

Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting

-'2-4 years relevant work experience in accounting; previous experience in a shared service center or accounting experience at a large company, or fast paced environment is desired

-Advanced understanding of accounting & internal accounting controls

-Work independently

-Be proactive

-Demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills

-Previous experience with Microsoft Excel

-Follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results

-Effectively prioritizes assignments

-Understands the expectations of customers and delivers service that meets or exceeds customer’s needs within policy guidelines

-Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approaches responsibilities with an open mind

-Ability to resolve ambiguous or complex assignments

-Must be a strong team player

-Demonstrated strong decision-making skills.

-Ability to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels throughout the organization.

-Must have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

-Previous experience with SAP (or similar ERP system) is an advantage
