Main Purpose of Job:

To see to it that all electrical, electronic, pneumatic instruments and communication systems are in good working condition.

Objectives:

• To maintain, sustain and repair various equipments under electrical/ instrumentation section’s responsibility.

• To ensure the functionality of PLCs and other equipments involved in automation including hardware, software and networks that are critical to the factory’s operation.

• To recommend /develop/execute the upgrading of relay-logic process controls to PLC controls.

• To ensure and check for optimum performance of IS and production facilities thru proper electrical/instrumentation maintenance and inspection.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Performs preventive maintenance/ calibration of instruments.

2. Trouble shoots / repair laboratory equipment.

3. Performs troubleshooting of electrical and complex electronic control system.

4. Upgrade / modifies existing control system requested by production.

5. Designs and program PLC system for major projects that may assigned to him.

6. Installs all major projects / including start-up and commissioning.

7. Prepares documentation (flowsheets, schematic & PID loop diagrams) after a project start-up.

8. Maintains good housekeeping in his work area.

9. Performs other jobs that maybe assigned to him from time to time by his superior.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of BSEE/BSECE or 3rd year Electrical/Instrumentation course.

• Three years experience in manufacturing firm as electrical /instrumentation technician with electronic background including pneumatic instruments.
