Successful candidates will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be a part of the opening of our new Promise Academy, a year round school serving the clients at the Idaho Youth Ranchs Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for youth, currently under construction at our beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idahos Treasure Valley.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelors in Special Education
  • 1-2 years classroom experience
  • Proficiency in Special Education paperwork/IEP software management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of staff and students

Preferred:

  • Special Education Certification
  • Masters degree
  • Experience in Secondary classroom teaching

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate and consult with teachers, parents and administrators to facilitate the IEP process
  • Administer program planning and financial management for special education department in collaboration with school administration
  • Prepare budget for IDEA funding with the School Leader with continued evaluation of expenses throughout the year.
  • Ensure that all general education teachers know and understand accommodations for the special needs students they serve
  • Maintain accurate and organized student and program records

As a year-round Charter School, Promise Academy is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
