  • Competencies: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Canva and WordPress is desired but not mandatory. Candidates may be asked to show examples of previous communications (i.e., flyers, newsletters, etc.).

Additional Information:This position has an initial one-year term from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.

Department:Center for Computational BiomedicinePre-Employment Screening:Identity Schedule:35 hrs. per week | Monday - Friday | 9:00 am - 5:00 pmJob Function:General Administration Position Description:The Center for Computational Biomedicine (CCB) at Harvard Medical School (HMS) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as an Administrative Coordinator. The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the CCB and will contribute administrative support to research activities at the Center. Working in collaboration with the Program Manager, the candidate will undertake a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Organizing and managing complex events, ensuring seamless coordination and execution

  • Acting as the principal administrative contact and liaison, facilitating effective communication within and outside the Center

  • Overseeing procurement processes

  • Maintaining accurate and current documentation and website content

  • Coordinating efficient scheduling for high-level participants within HMS and from external institutions.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, resilient, tenacious, and eager to acquire new skills. They must be exceptionally organized, capable of handling multiple tasks, and committed to delivering high-quality support and service. A positive disposition and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

Scope of the Portfolio: The CCB manages numerous software and analytic development projects and develops shared data and analytic resources for researchers across HMS. Additionally, the CCB has a strong educational mandate for courses and skills related to software, data analysis, computational skills, and the adoption of new methods.
