Automotive/ Maintenance Technician (CV2340-133) - Construction and Maintenance Division

The Automotive Technician will perform troubleshooting, repairs, replacements, upgrades on all fleet vehicles owned and operated by VOADV. Holds ASE Certifications for Engines, Transmissions, and Suspension & Brakes. CFC certification for A/C preferred but not required. Performs test drives as required to diagnose problems and determine the repairs needed. Performs needed repairs, maintains documentation of repairs as required. Performs routine maintenance, preventative maintenance as needed to maintain our fleet in a safe, efficient condition. Maintains current accurate records for all repair work listing the work performed, parts used, supplies used and time to complete the tasks. These records will be kept in the Warehouse Office as well as in the Construction and Maintenance Department main vehicle files.

Will assist in and perform any other maintenance tasks within the C&M department as required. These tasks may include, Lock, plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance, light bulb replacements and any other tasks you are qualified to perform. Any other work or tasks you are asked to perform will be accompanied by on the job training.

The candidate must have a High School diploma or GED, and an approved program in automotive repair, and three years of responsible experience in vehicle maintenance. Certification. Must possess broad general knowledge of building maintenance and repairs including previous experience within a building maintenance environment; required to possess a valid driver's license and must be available for on call days, weekends and holidays as needed.
