Rowan University Temporary Part-Time Hourly Security Officer (Police Department) in Camden, New Jersey

Summary:

  • Under direction of a supervisor in the Department of Public Safety, during an assigned tour of duty, provides assistance and protection to persons and property in and about university owned buildings, campus grounds, and parking areas; maintains orderly conditions throughout the campus, and takes the measures required to assure observance of university policies and state law; does related work as required.

    Education Requirement:

  • Graduation from high school or vocational school or possession of an approved high school equivalent certificate.

    License Requirement:

  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.

    Hours:

  • This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and is not to exceed 944 hours per fiscal year. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriations.

  • Night, weekend, and holiday hours are required for this position.
