The Opportunity:  

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recruiter to join our high-achieving, diverse, innovating team. The Recruiter will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our consultancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the project management landscape and experience in recruiting for specialized roles. This role will report to the HR Manager. 

This is a full-time, non-remote position based in downtown Toronto. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, and recruit candidates for various project controls consulting positions. 

  • Job Descriptions & Postings: Prepare recruitment materials, create job descriptions, and post jobs to appropriate mediums. 

  • Candidate Management: Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, gather interviews notes and feedback, communicate with applicants during and after the interview process, and offer negotiation. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, hiring managers and senior leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. 

  • Networking: Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events. 

  • Employer Branding: Promote Dokainish & Company as an employer of choice through branding initiatives and candidate engagement activities. 

  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and labor market conditions to inform recruitment strategies. 

  • Reporting: Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports regularly. 

  • Point of Contact: serve as liaison and point of contact for all recruiting activities and relationships. 

  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with relevant employment laws and company policies. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a project management consultancy or related industry. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Strong knowledge of project management and project controls practices will be a great asset. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada. 

  • Ability to commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required); this is a full-time, non-remote position based in downtown Toronto, Ontario (not remote).
